Taruna Poshana

 

Taruna Poshana is the department of SY Philosophy & Culture dedicated to creating & implementing learning events for children, teens, young adults & parents.

Taruna means, new young and fresh.
Poshana means cherish, protect, nurture.

Types of learning events offered:

  • Support SY students of all ages to deepen their knowledge of & connection to the inner self.
  • Encourage dynamic & engaged studentship.
  • Support students to engage with, and take responsibility for, nourishing and sustaining their own sadhana.
  • Support students to offer to the SY mission, through the practices of seva & dakshina.
  • Support students to integrate the philosophy & culture of SY into their daily lives, and in this way preserve SY Philosophy & Culture for years to come.

In the New York Community, Taruna Poshana is comprised of 3 areas:

  • Families - Ages 0-12 yrs, Kishors - Ages 13-17 yrs & Yuvas - Ages 18-24 yrs - Department Coordinator - James Cronin (Jmc447@aol.com)
